The Joseph Public Library is located next to City Hall just off Main Street in Joseph at 201 North Main Street.

- Tuesday - Thursday 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM
- Friday - 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Saturday - 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Sunday & Monday - Closed
Collections & Services
The library is a vital part of our community, offering valuable services accessible to everyone for free, including:
- Free WIFI, new laptops and desktop computers, plus wireless printer access.
- Books, including new fiction and nonfiction, videos, newspapers and magazines.
- Children’s room with beanbags and games plus a Summer Reading Program.
- Local historical references and material.
- Free Interlibrary Loan.
The library is a member of the Sage Library System, a consortium of 74 libraries across eastern Oregon. Patrons may borrow materials through this interlibrary loan program spanning millions of items. Materials are delivered twice a week, and generally take a week to arrive. Patrons simply log into their library account using their card barcode number and 4-digit passcode.

Joseph Public Library Task Force
The library is guided by the Joseph Public Library Task Force consisting of at least two Joseph City Council members and a collection of Joseph citizens. Typically, the Task Force meets on the third Thursday of each month at 5:00 PM in the library. All prospective task force members should fill out an application here and return it to City Hall. Minutes of the board meetings are available upon request.
